Smoking Cessation Services

MOVE! - Weight Management Group
MOVE consists of 6 sessions held weekly to promote weight management by learning healthy eating, moving and thinking styles. Contact Paola Montross at 570-824-3521 x24892. Visit the MOVE! Page for additional information.
Opioid Replacement (Suboxone)
Structured long-term treatment strategy including psychosocial support, designed specifically to help Veterans recovering form heroin abuse.
Focuses on ways to live with chronic pain via using psychological, physical and pharmacological strategies. Program is multidisciplinary and is facilitated by a psychologist, physical therapist and medical staff to ensure that the Veteran's needs are fully addressed.
Home Based Primary Care (HBPC)
Psychological services are available to Veterans who are enrolled in HBPC, a program that provides in-home services to meet primary care needs of an aging Veteran population with complex, chronic and disabling diseases.
Series of classes to improve coping skills with symptoms, family, stress and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Focuses on improving coping skills and resolution of trauma.
A variety of groups are offered to provide Veterans with support and tools for symptom management. Current Active Groups include and are specific for the WWII/Korea, Vietnam and Global War on Terror Veteran with a focus on reducing the effects of military-related trauma.
Anger Management Group
An eight-session psycho-educational group to assist Veterans in developing personal insight into their expression of anger and developing the strategies to manage feelings more effectively.
Focuses on alleviation of stress and associated symptoms.
Specialized groups also exist for Veterans dealing with Chronic Mental Illness (CMI), an ACT group for treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as a Depression Support Group.
